Ferguson, Scarbrough & Hayes, P.A. began in October, 1976, when Edwin H. Ferguson, Jr. opened a solitary practice focusing on civil and criminal litigation, bankruptcy and other transactional matters. Mr. Ferguson began a partnership with James E. Scarbrough in January, 1990, at which time the law firm added real estate matters to its focus. With the addition of Brian P. Hayes, the law firm expanded into more complex transactional matters to include estates, estate planning and other matters such as incorporation, etc.

At the present time, Ferguson, Scarbrough & Hayes, P.A. has four (4) attorneys and an able and competent staff of 18 qualified paralegals and assistants in various areas. Our emphasis is on personal service.

The firm handles all forms of real estate matters to include commercial, as well as residential closings and development of residential subdivisions. Additionally, the firm engages in significant civil litigation to include family law matters, personal injury, medical malpractice, and other commercial litigation matters. The firm is also engaged in a significant amount of bankruptcy work to include Chapter 7, Chapter 13 and Chapter 11 filings for individuals as well as businesses.
