Brian P. Hayes earned undergraduate degrees from Campbell University in political science and history, and his Juris Doctorate at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell in 1999. While in law school he received honors in worker’s compensation, legal remedies, law and accounting, secured transactions, commercial paper, estate taxation and real estate transactions, among others.
Brian joined the firm (then Ferguson and Scarbrough, PA) in 2000, and became a partner in 2003. He presently practices in the areas of Estate Planning (wills, trusts, and powers of attorney), Estate Administration, Business Transactions (incorporation, and contract) Elder Law, and Bankruptcy. He is a member of Cabarrus County Bar association, the North Carolina Bar association (and its Estate Planning, Elder Law, Bankruptcy and Young Lawyers sections), and the American Bar Association.
Brian lives in Cabarrus County with his wife Beth, and their son, American Bulldog, and West Highland Terrier. When not engaged in the practice of law, Brian is often engaged in physical activities including triathlon (Ironman distance) and marathons. He also holds belts in Shotokan and Go-ju Ryu karate and Aikido.
