The firm consists of Edwin H. Ferguson, Jr., James E. Scarbrough, Brian P. Hayes, Ryan C. Hawkins, James R. DeMay and a large, experienced and capable support staff.

The firm was established in 1976, making it one of the oldest and reputable law firms in Cabarrus County. Since its inception, the firm has grown to represent clients in a number of diverse areas of legal practice, including real estate, bankruptcy, business and corporate law, estate planning and administration, family law, civil litigation, zoning and land use law, and appellate practice. While located in Cabarrus County, the firm also regularly represents clients in matters pending in the surrounding areas, including Rowan, Stanly, Mecklenburg, Iredell and Union counties.
